I went to Roka Akor the first night it opened, so it's a little tough to rate. I think new restaurants need a couple weeks to get into the swing of things, before being critiqued. One thing I absolutely loved about this spot was the design. This isn't a traditional Sushi restaurant - It's a Steak, Seafood, and Sushi restaurant. The food was good but not as good as I was expecting-one thing I did love was the generous portions. My favorite dish was the spicy fried tofu with avocado and japanese herbs {pictured below}. I think the restaurant is worth checking out, but don't put it on the top of your list. Also, there is a bar attached to the restaurant that is located downstairs. I never got around to checking it out, but the pictures look really nice and I heard it's a pretty cool spot. Might be a good place to go to with a big group for dinner and drinks. Located in the Financial District on Montgomery St.
